Job Description
Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a well-established GP practice in Ascot. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Practice Nurse looking for flexible locum shifts with competitive pay in a supportive and professional primary care setting.
As a Locum Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, cytology, health screenings, and working closely with the wider clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.
This role offers up to 4 days a week, and we can accommodate multiple locum nurses if required.
Hourly Rate:
£25 – £35 per hour (dependent on experience and skillset).
Job Requirements:
Registered Practice Nurse with valid NMC registration.
Experience in a GP practice or primary care setting is essential.
Proficiency in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension).
Ability to provide childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations, cervical screening (cytology), wound care, and health promotion.
Experience using EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training can be provided if necessary).
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
Up to 4 days a week (flexible schedule).
Available shifts: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or full-day shifts.
No weekend work required, but additional shifts may be available.
