Job Description

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to support a busy GP surgery in Harpenden. This is a great opportunity for an experienced ACP looking for flexible and well-paid locum work in a supportive primary care setting.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions, conducting clinical assessments, prescribing independently (where applicable), and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

This role offers up to 3 days a week, and we can accommodate more than one Locum ACP if required.

Job Requirements:
Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) qualification with relevant postgraduate training.
V300 Independent Prescribing qualification is essential.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a GP practice, urgent care, or walk-in centre.
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong skills in minor illness management, chronic disease care, and prescribing.
Experience using EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training can be arranged if required).
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
Up to 3 days a week (flexible schedule).
Available shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Weekend work may be available upon request.
